Hongkong Museum of History

This museum demonstrates history of Hong Kong since first human on this planet until present as well as the modernization of Hong Kong since World War II. Finding out the development of Hong Kong such as apparel and clothing industry, movie, toy industry, banking, distress during the war, School, tourism industry, fishing, creating the world's first underground railway and etc.

How to go there: by MTR, get off at Tsim Sha Tsui station Exit B2. This exit is on Cameron Rd. You will find Yoshinoya shop, from this road walk straight to Chatham road south, and turn left. Walk a little more to overpass and cross over to the other side.

Entrance fees: 10 HKD

Opening Hours:
Monday, Wednesday to Saturday 10.00 - 18.00, close on Tuesday
Sunday and special holiday 10.00 - 19.00
Note: Flash photography is allowed, no video recorder, no tripod.

Nearby museums: Hongkong Science Museum, Hongkong Museum of Art, and Hongkong Space Museum are located opposite Hongkong Museum of History. Open daily except Tuesday

Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre

A colonial-style white old building formerly is an office of British Army. This museum has been refurbished by adding glasses with a modern elevator at the middle hall. Looking out to the small and beautiful tropical gardens. A table for people to sit and read books and take a brief moment among the solar light that pass through the thick wooden body, quietly affecting.

How to go there: take MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui Station Exit A1, it is on Kowloon park drive - opposite to China Hong Kong Centre

Hong Kong Science Museum

It is a paradise for children and adults who want to discover entertainment as well as scientific knowledge in our daily life, such as story of food science, procedure of electric and magnetic fields, theory of movement, light and sound ecological theory. Additionally, there is corner for kids. This museum is very ideal for families with children because they can learn and having fun simultaneously. In addition, the explanation in this museum is presented in bilingual; Chinese and English.

How to go there: take MTR to East Tsim Sha Tsui Station Exit P2 and walk for 10 mins along the Chatham Road South.

Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum

This museum has 2 permanent exhibitions showing a number of valuable historical of art. Involved with a lot of audio-visual programs, it gives an extensive summary of life and career of Dr Sun, and Hong Kong's important duty in the reform as well as revolutionary actions.

How to go there: use Mid-Levels Escalator from Central to Caine Road, and walk westwards along the sidewalk for 5 minutes.

Hong Kong Museum of Art

This museum collects more than 15,00 art pieces such as historical paintings, ancient calligraphy, and antiques Chinese treasuers. This place is located near Hong Kong Space Museum.

How to go there:
take MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui station Exit E/J/K/L3
by Ferry: take Star Ferry and drop at Tsim Sha Tsui Pier

Entrance fees: 10 HKD, Free admission on Wednesdays
