Symphony of Lights
Symphony of Lights, the World's Most significant Permanent Light and Sound Display, is the laser multimedia display synchronised building exterior embellished light and sound. The presentation is organised and staged every night at 8.00 pm for fifteen minutes. The Show comprises five major themes: Awakening, Energy, Heritage, Partnership, and Celebration. The perfect spot for light and sound show is in Avenue of Star area situated along side the Victoria Harbour waterfront in Tsim Sha Tsui. Exclusive pyrotechnic fireworks will be added to the show on special holiday events.
Broadcast of the soundtrack is in different languages
- English: Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- Mandarin: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
- Cantonese: Sunday
Remarks:
- A symphony of Light is for free public enjoyment. No admission tickiet is required.
- The show may be suspended in emergencies without prior notice.
Mid-levels Escalator
The Central-Mid-levels Escalator (eight hundred meters long) is the longest Escalators with roof top in the world. Apart from the particular transportation function, it is a tourist point of interest. The beginning of this particular escalator begins from Central (Des Voeux Street) main street to Mid-Level on Victoria Peak. Both local shops and elegant western style retail stores can be found along the way. The escalator cutting through multiple lines of the major streets such as Staunton, Elgin, Shelley, as well as Hollywood Street which are well-known for sales of ancient antiques.
Remarks:
- Service Hours: Downward - 6:00am to 10:00am and Upward - 10:00am to 22:00 pm
- For viewpoint and scenic shots, it is recommended to take escalator halfway to SoHo. Further than that it is mostly residence living zone.
- There is a discount spot for Octopus Card. By scanning the octopus card, one will receive 2 HKD discount for the next use of MTR.
Night Life at Lan Kwai Fong
Lan Kwai Fong, a bar district, is the Hong Kong's premier area for a night out and is a most popular entertainment district for drinks, festivals and parties. There are more than 60 pubs, clubs and dancing places for night surfers. Most pubs will open on Friday and Saturday until 3 am. Visitors can go to from MTR Central Station to Exit D2, then walking along Queen's Road head toward the D'Aguilar Street. |
